Push To Pedal

Take thirty minutes to watch this…

“‘Push to Pedal’ is a documentary about four skaters, turned-bike-builders who crafted custom frames specially for Carhartt WIP skaters (Joseph Biais, Joe Gavin, Giovanni Grazzani and Pete Ruikka).
The group then hit the road together in Fuerteventura/ Canary Islands for a week long adventure of cycling, skating and exploration.

For one week, the whole crew stayed at the Casa Maccaroni, in Lajares, which is located in the middle of a desert pierced by only a few little volcanoes, in the north part of the island. From there they would cycle to spots on a average 45 km a day. Going to cities and villages, skating, coming back.

With no training, this trip turned out to be pretty tough for the skaters, but made them realize skate tours can be more than just sitting in a van to get to spots. A memorable experience for most of them.”

Rodney Mullen | Creative Voices

This is not bike related but, if you’ve ever put your foot on a skateboard you know who Rodney Mullen is. He’s the Godfather of modern skateboarding. Doing things on a board know one thought possible. This guy is incredible to watch skate, but just as incredible to listen to, and to learn from. Sure, he talks about skating and his approach, but you can apply it to anything. Watch this video, listen to this video, and think about what he is saying. He is not only a genius on a skateboard, but a creative genius as well.
