It’s not a Hobby, It’s a Passion

I started riding fixed five years ago. My first build was a conversion from an old road bike a friend gave me. About a year and a half ago I picked up a State Bicycle, and started commuting to work and riding on a daily basis. So far this year, I’ve started Cyclops Fixed, launched a merch store, and bought a Bianchi Super Pista. Five years ago I never thought any of this would happen.

Cycling has become my new love. It’s more than a hobby, it’s a passion. It pushes me, motivates me, and pisses me off, all at the same time. This hasn’t happened since I played baseball. And I can’t think of anything else I would rather have this much passion for. To the people I’ve met, learned things from, and have helped me get to where I am today, I can’t thank you enough for everything. And to my friends and family who have listened to me talk about all this stuff, even if you don’t understand what I’m saying half the time, I love you guys and thank you for all the support.

I’m looking forward to see where all of this takes me. I can’t wait to meet new people and share my passion for riding with whoever will listen. Just, to let you know, this blog has been a huge step for me. I’m a very introverted person. I listen more than I talk. And it has to be the right moment or topic for me to say something. But’t I’m working on that. I ‘m getting better about it. I will get better about it.

Enough with this post. Let’s go ride bikes and have a few beers.
